June 1

Our holiday begins! (After clearing all the covid testing :(:) Depart GTR airport 12:15 noon, Arrive in ATL,Take another Covid test, Leave ATL at 6 pm Depart on Flight # DL0062 nonstop to Roma FCO

June 2

Arrive at FCO at 9:40 am. Transferred from the airport to our Hotel by hotel driver. Check into our hotel, relax , catch our breath and EAT! Not much of anything planned for the afternoon may wander the streets looking for street food and gelato. Sight see Spanish steps, Trevi Fountain, etc...After a reserved dinner, a good night sleep

June 3

Il Caffè un prima colazione (an espresso and breakfast) Meet our local guide Gennaro who will take us to old Roma for a tour of the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, Pantheon, and wherever else he decides to take us. Maybe we will do some shopping in the afternoon for a while.

June 4

Catch a train to Napoli Around 10 am for a 3 hr food tour with Gennaro.

Looking forward to tasting pizza in the city where Pizza was created, the Margherita, Enjoying espresso the Neapolitan way,... Limoncello Gelato? Take the train back to Roma in the late afternoon about 1 hr 10mins journey on the fast train.

June 5

Train to Firenze (Florence) which is in the Tuscany region. Leave Roma around 10:25 am, arrive around noon. Check into our hotel. Meet Sara at 13:00 for a Tasting of Firenze tour. Go see Piazza Della Signoria and the well known bridge Ponte Vecchio built in 1345 a.d. etc…

June 6

Explore Firenze gardens in the morning. Catch a train to the little Mediterranean Sea town of Manarola in Cinque Terre which is in the Liguria region. Check in to our Airbnb where we will be for the next 3 nights. Eat Fish, Pasta with Pesto :)

June 7

Walk the seaside hill trails between the 5 towns. Eat seafood, pasta with pesto, and focaccia bread. In the afternoon take a boat tour with Dario..Go swimming in the sea…? Relaxing evening spent soothing the sunburn…;)

Catch the train to Santa Margarita and walk the trail to Portofino. Afternoon walk the trail around the point. Take the train back to Manarola.

Ride another train to Lucca. Stay one night. Explore the walled city.

Pickup our rental car, Fiat 500, manual:) Drive through the Tuscany countryside to the country hotel Lupaia where we will call home base for the next 3 nights.

These next days are leisure days. Some ideas of things to do, like visit surrounding hilltop towns for example, Siena where the Palio is held each year.

May go to the natural hot springs Saturnia and soak for a while.

Checkout of Lupaia mid morning drive north to Verona or Lake Garda area for one night

Continue north to the Dolomites and stay in the town Cortina.

Spend the morning and early afternoon exploring the area and taking in the rugged Mountains then drive to Venice where we will drop off the car rental. Take the boat Transport to our hotel in Venice boutique Cima Rosa.

Meet Giada, our tour guide. She will meet us at our hotel. She is going to take us to visit her hometown of Treviso “little Venice” via train. Treviso, home of Tiramisu. After the tour head back to Venice to see the city etc possible gondola ride…? Take Covid test for flight to USA

Meet up with Giada again for a tour of Venice and local cuisine

Flight departs at 12:15 noon VCE to Paris Paris to ATL ATL to GTR arrive at 9:19 pm
